5 Tips for Making the Most of Your Next Wedding Expo
It’s wedding expo season!!! Wedding expos are an amazing way to meet and chat with new vendors, get ideas and inspiration for your wedding, and potentially win cool stuff. While these are such fun and amazing events to add to your wedding planning experience, they can definitely be overwhelming at times. Here are a few tips and ideas that will help you get the most out of your wedding expo experience:
Create a Wedding Email
You’ll be giving your email out to a lot of vendors throughout the show, and afterwards you’ll want to reach out to some of the vendors you loved, so having a place to keep it all together will ensure that all of those opportunities don’t get lost in that inbox you’ve had since 8th grade.😉
Come Prepared
Bring a notebook or a digital device to jot down ideas and contact details. If you already know details about your wedding date, venue, a theme, or any other vendors booked, you’ll likely be asked about them a million times, so have a spiel ready to go.
Ask Questions
Don’t hesitate to ask vendors about their services, packages, and availability. If you really feel like you vibe with them, go ahead and book a consultation! These are low-commitment meetings where you can get dedicated time and information just for you and your day.
Sample & Explore
Take advantage of all the samples, demos, and displays throughout the event to envision your day. Got a specific idea? Ask the vendor if they can do it!
Follow Up
Collect business cards and brochures to revisit your options later. Develop a system to put vendor contact information you’re definitely interested in towards the front of your notebook and then set aside time to contact those vendors a few days after the show.
