At AAnd Then Co., we believe that every couple has a unique story to tell through their wedding day. We seek to give couples permission to be themselves and to help tell that story through focused communication and thoughtful design. All of our planning packages are customized to meet the needs of each couple, taking advantage of our years of knowledge and experience, network of industry professionals, and intentional design and coordination methods. We also communicate with our couples intermittently to make sure that every single client feels supported and less overwhelmed.

It’s me, hi. I’m the Wedding Planner, it’s me.
The name is Alex Melton (that last part is ✨new✨). I’m a first-time wife, long-time wedding industry helping hand. I’m also a dog mom, an organization connoisseur, communications specialist, and detail queen who absolutely LOVES helping thoughtful couples create amazing authentic experiences and memories to last a lifetime.
My wedding day vibe is to be the calm in the eye of the storm. 🌪️ To my couples I’m the voice of reason, and to the vendors I’m the cheerleader who helps conduct the DREAM TEAM. We work together to create flawless events, and I personally believe that each love story deserves a day that could ONLY be theirs.
Now for the fun stuff! 🪩 A few fun facts about me:
I am a nerd. 🤓 I am the nerdiest nerd you ever did meet. I love all things Star Wars, Harry Potter, and you’d best BELIEVE I’m waiting as impatiently as possible for the final season of Stranger Things. I LIVE for a good sneaky theme or a few good literary references so if that sounds like something you’d want to do, I’m your girl!!
My husband and I have a Belgian Malinois named Rogue 🐕 (and no, sadly I was not allowed to throw her a “Rogue One” themed first birthday party). She is the cutest and sweetest chaos goblin in our lives and I will absolutely send pics upon request.
I married the love of my life in October 2023 on the 10 year anniversary of our first date… on the day of an annular solar eclipse. 💍☀️ We had the best day with all of our favorite people and, because of my previous experience and love of the industry, we found planning to be a fun process that brought us together and we were able to have an incredibly intentional event that people are still talking about almost a year later! He’s also a nerd, my absolute best friend, and the biggest cheerleader I have (and occasionally he’s my assistant so you might see him unpacking dinnerware or taping up decor… he secretly loves it, too).
Everything about weddings brings me joy, and I am HONORED to be able to call making dreams happen MY JOB! If you think we’d vibe, let’s work together! 🥰
